Otto Wallin Reveals Extent of Injuries After Fight With Anthony Joshua

Otto Wallin has revealed that he suffered a fractured nose during his fight with Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia last month. Wallin made the revelation while speaking to Boxing News, saying that he noticed he was bleeding early on in the fight, but the adrenaline of the bout kept him from fully realizing the extent of his injury. "I have a fracture on my nose, it's not completely broken, but it's fractured," Wallin said. "I noticed that I was bleeding but when you are in the fight you have so much adrenaline and it was early in the fight. I noticed that it was uncomfortable but I don't think it made a big difference." Wallin's injury was one of several factors that contributed to his defeat to Joshua. The British boxer put on a dominant display, unleashing a clinical display of power punching that left Wallin battered and bruised. Joshua's victory was a major boost to his hopes of a rematch with Tyson Fury, who defeated him in their first meeting in 2019. Wallin, meanwhile, will be hoping to bounce back from his defeat when he returns to the ring later this year. The Swedish fighter has a record of 20-2-0, with 14 knockouts.
