At least 10 people have been killed after gunmen attacked three villages in the Zango Kataf and Chikun Local Government Areas of Kaduna State, Nigeria. The latest incident comes just 24 hours after seven people were killed by bandits in the Igabi and Kajuru Local Government Areas of the state. According to the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, the gunmen attacked Kurmin Gandu village in the Zango Kataf Local Government Area, killing five people. They also torched 10 houses, two motorcycles, and 50 bags of ginger, while some dry season farmers lost water pumping machines and other resources around the Zango Urban general area. Aruwan further explained that some survivors of the attack are receiving treatment in the hospital, while search and rescue operations are ongoing.
