NNPC: No Plan to Increase Petrol Price Amidst Scarcity

NNPC Has dismiss the recent rumor of hike in the price of petroleum product in the country.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has debunked rumors that it intends to increase the price of petrol amid the current scarcity. This was disclosed in a press release by the group general manager and group public affairs division, Dr. Kennie Obateru. Dr. Obateru stated that the NNPC is not considering any fuel price hike and urged all petroleum marketers to refrain from increasing prices without authorization. He emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in the petrol market, particularly during this challenging period. The NNPC also assured the public of its commitment to ensuring adequate supply and distribution of petroleum products across the country. It encouraged citizens to report any instances of price gouging or hoarding to the appropriate authorities. The NNPC's statement comes as a relief to many Nigerians who have been grappling with fuel scarcity and the associated price hikes in recent weeks. It is hoped that this clarification will help stabilize the market and alleviate the burden on consumers.
