ATTACK ON MANGU LOCAL GOV JOS

 Mangu Local Government in Jos was attacked by unknown gunmen on Tuesday, leaving several people dead and injured. The attack, which started at about 11pm, saw the gunmen invade the local government secretariat and other government buildings, setting them ablaze. They also attacked a police station, killing three police officers. Residents of the area said the gunmen came in large numbers, armed with sophisticated weapons. They said the gunmen also looted shops and homes before fleeing into the bush. The Plateau State Government has condemned the attack, describing it as barbaric and senseless. The government has also ordered the security agencies to fish out the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
